The proclamation notes that it has been 12 years since a CMS team last achieved this feat. The proclamation also noted that over the course of the season, the CMS football team's offense scored a total of 264 points in eight ball games, and the defense allowed only 112 points.
Most of the team attended Monday's monthly meeting of the city commission for the event. Odom named each player and had the boys raise their hand and pledge to "remain in school and come to Cedartown High School."

Heath, Daniel King, Keilus Jackson, Jose Lee, Seth Mason, Freddie Moore, Shikahri Murphy, DaVonte Pace, Peyton Payne, Austin Pope, Dalton Puckett, Garrett Rodger, Michael Rhodes, Logan Rush, Ben Russell, Tyrone Scoffield, Zonterius Scoffield, Rodney Smith, Ron Stephens, Titus Stocks, Ben Truett and Justin Womack.
The coaching staff includes Head Coach Bob Tracy, Assistant Coach Dr. Rick Shortt, Assistant Coach Chad Cooper, Assistant Coach Allen Price, Assistant Coach Jarvis Frasier and Assistant Coach Ken Jolly.
