The Cedartown Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m. tonight.

The Budweiser Clydesdale will make their return to the parade this year after a one year absence. The horses made their way through Cedartown around 4 p.m. today.

A large crowd gathered at the old Chevrolet dealership at the corner of Canal and Main streets to see the horses being unloaded and prepped for the parade.

A fireworks show will begin immediately following the parade.

The fireworks will be staged in the parking lot behind Wendy’s on North Main Street. The fireworks will be shot 200 to 300 feet in the air and may be viewed from any location on the north side of town.

The parade was GREAT. The floats were really good and the bands...what can I say, they were top notch - music and marching. Those Clydesdales are sights to behold and the fireworks afterwards were exciting...for the kids, that is. Even the selection of the Grand Marshall - Jim Mayben - was a perfect choice for such a quality occasion. Hope all those folk who talk about God, Country and Community were out in force tonight. It was an event that combined them all.
