Ducks continue to nest and raise young on the banks of Aragon millpond.
They have not departed since they were first reported in June 2012. The expanding population and problems created by people feeding these visitors was presented to Aragon’s city council.
“Aragon has a problem at the millpond and we need to find a way to reduce the number of ducks,” Mayor Ken Suffridge said.
Councilman Curtis Burris agreed to oversee this task. He said the overpopulation problem is the result of continued nesting and hatching of young.
