Three have been arrested in separate cases regarding sexual offenses and two are in jail facing armed robbery charges in separate incidents.

Although details of the incidents were not available last Friday because of the Easter holiday, reports from the Polk County Jail state that county police officers arrested Alvin Franklin Kent, 48, of 43 Cashtown Road, Aragon, April 2, on charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes, aggravated sodomy and child molestation. Kent remains in the Polk County Jail.

In a separate incident, officials are holding a Cedartown man for Glynn County relating to a computer pornography charge. Jail reports state that Edward Keith Kelley, 51, of 755 Collard Valley Road was arrested April 9 on charges of computer pornography under the Child Exploitation and Prevention Act of 2007. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Another Cedartown man was arrested and charged with rape by Polk County Police in a third incident, according to reports.

Reports state that Jonathan Ryan Norris, 18, 1116 Antioch Road, Cedartown, was arrested April 9 and faces charges of five counts of simple battery and rape. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

A Lawrenceville woman faces several charges, including armed robbery, after her arrest in Polk County, reports state.

Katrina Ellen Williams, 34, 689 Sprintor Dr., Lawrenceville, was arrested by Cedartown police April 2 and is charged with armed robbery, criminal trespass, aggravated assault, and conspiracy. She remains in the Polk County Jail.

An Aragon man was also arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on armed robbery charges in a separate incident, according to reports.

Ricky Lee Messick, 43, 851 Taylorsville Road, Aragon, was arrested April 9 and is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Amanda Louis Hanks, 30, 5 South Stepp Rd., Lindale, was arrested April 2 on a first-degree forgery charge. She was released on a property bond.

Trixie Faye Wills, 29, 610 Davis Rd., Cedartown, was arrested April 3 on first-degree forgery charges. She remains in the Polk County Jail.

Stephen Mark Cothran, 41, 261 Ale wine Ave., Tallapoosa, was arrested April 3 on charges of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana and driving with an expired license. He was released per transfer bond back to Haralson County.

Layla Paige Edwards, 25, 412 Sciple St., Rockmart, was arrested April 3 on charges of shoplifting and possession of a less of an ounce of marijuana. She was released at the request of the Rockmart Police Department.

Santiago Santana Jr., 44, 128 Central St., Cedartown, was arrested April 4 on charges of DUI by alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and giving a false name. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Melanie Dawn Gibbs, 27, 172 Portland Rd., Aragon, was arrested April 4 on charges of simple battery. She was released on a property bond.

Jorge Carpus, 21, 236 Silverthorn Way, Cedartown, was arrested April 5 on charges of DUI by alcohol and speeding. He was released on a property bond.

Amanda Lee Diamond, 21, 1475 Piedmont Hwy., Cedartown, was arrested April 5 on charges of driving with an expired tag, no insurance, driving while unlicensed, and driving with an unregistered vehicle. She remains in the Polk County Jail.

Amber Louis Moore, 17, of 2065 Old Cedartown Rd., Cedartown, was arrested April 5 on charges of two counts of simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA), three counts of cruelty to a child in the third degree and drinking while underage.

David Scott Rice Jr. , 26, 687 Young Station Road, Cedartown, was arrested April 5 on charges of false imprisonment, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime and pointing a gun at another. He was released on a property bond.

Michael Lamar Poole, 41, Lot 11 Dr., Leesburg, Ala., was arrested April 6 on charges of passing in a no passing zone, driving while license is revoked, failing to maintain lane, failing to dim headlights, fleeing and attempting to elude. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Chester Rady Ollie Fletcher King, 30, 1775 Poplar Springs Rd., Buchanan, was arrested April 6 on charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and a seatbelt violation He was released on a property bond.

Lindsey Anne Dutton, 17, 510 Field Dr., Cedartown, was arrested April 6 on charges of driving without a license and a headlight violation. She was released on a property bond.

Karena McSweeny Jones, 42, 619 Cooper St., Apt. 16, Cedartown, was arrested April 7 for driving under the influence and failing to yield after a stop at the stop sign.

Darrell Keith Gentry, 47, 376 Old Mill Road, Apt. 56, Cartersville, was arrested April 7 on charges of DUI, open container, driving on a suspended license and probation violation. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Thomas William Weldon, 47, 1807 Browning Road, Rockmart, was arrested April 7 on charges of simple battery, cruelty to children and criminal trespass. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Chiresico Rodgrigus Montgomery, 28, 52 Potash Rd., Cedartown, was arrested April 8 on charges of safety restraint violations, cocaine possession, marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute. Montgomery was released on a property bond.

Joshua David Bagwell, 17, 414 Pine Mountain Road, Rockmart, was arrested April 9 on a charge of aggravated assault.

Jose Majia Martin, 22, 207 Cobb St., Cedartown, was arrested April 10 on charges of open container, DUI, driving without a license, driving with a suspended registration and giving a false name.
