On Thursday, March 5, agents from the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force and the DEA, along with officers of the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office, Bremen Police Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Department, Polk County Police Department and the Cedartown Police Department, conducted 20 searches in Haralson County and the Felton area of Polk and Haralson County.

The searches were the result of a two-month-long investigation by agents of the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force regarding the sales of Ephedrine products.

State law requires businesses selling Ephedrine products to maintain records of these sales. As a result of these searches, three methamphetamine labs were discovered and investigated and seven arrests were made.

Arrested were the following: William Howard Hollis Jr., 43, of Tallapoosa; Amanda Susan Brock, 34, of Bremen; Billy Wayne Brown, 53, of 1244 McKibben Road, Cedartown; Ralph Edward Bryant, 35, of Buchanan; Donna Lynn Bryant, 42, of Buchanan; Melissa Ann Hetling, 43, of Buchanan; and Clarissa Carla Medlin, 29, of Tallapoosa.

The investigations are ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.

Anyone with narcotics information is urged to contact the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force at (770) 646-9175.
