Oak Grove Baptist Church, Hwy. 27 north, will have its Vacation Bible School from June 22-26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each night. Classes will be offered from those in pre-school through the 12th grade. The theme is “Boomerang Express.” Everyone is invited to attend.

Thankful Baptist Church will be hosting a Children and Youth Conference on June 26, at 6:30 p.m., and June 27, at 10 a.m. The theme is Sharing a Little Testimony. The Marietta Street United Methodist Church will host the Polk County note singing on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 1 p.m. Dinner will be served. The public is invited to attend.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The First United Methodist Church, located at 201 Wissahickon Ave., will have Vacation Bible School June 21-25, in the Fellowship Hall from 7-8:30 p.m. each night. The theme will be “Holy Land Adventure”. The community is cordially encouraged to attend any and all of these activities.

The youth will be sponsoring a community yard sale in the church parking lot on July 11 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. First Methodist has 51 parking space areas available of approximately 20x10 to rent. The rent will be $20 in cash per parking space.

Anyone who wishes to rent a space will be responsible to bring and set up their own tables or racks to display their items for sale on July 11, between 6-7 a.m.

Everything must be removed from the space after the sale by 6 p.m.
