FRIENDSHIP BAPTIST

Revival services will begin Monday night at 7 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, located on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Cedartown. Services will continue through Friday with Rev. Isaish Waddy, pastor of St. Peter A.M.E. Church of Jonesboro, GA as the Evangelist for the week. Everyone is invited to attend.

OAK GROVE

Oak Grove Baptist Church, Hwy. 27 north, will have its Vacation Bible School from June 22-26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each night. Classes will be offered from those in pre-school through the 12th grade. The theme is “Boomerang Express.” Everyone is invited to attend.

THANKFUL BAPTIST

Thankful Baptist Church will be hosting a Children and Youth Conference on June 26, at 6:30 p.m., and June 27, at 10 a.m. The theme is Sharing a Little Testimony. The guest speaker will be Mr. Ken Veal, a former UGA football player. A cook out after the conference will be held for all youth. For more information, call Mrs. Whatley at 770-748-0704. WARE’S GROVE

Ware’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Potash Road, will celebrate Men’s Day, Sunday, June 21, at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The church will also have its Vacation Bible School June 24-26, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “On the Move – God’s Grace from Place to Place.” For more information call 770-748-7201.

WIMBERLY HILL

Wimberly Hill Baptist Church, 200 Wimberly Hill Loop, will have its Vacation Bible School June 22-26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The theme will be Studio Go – Winning with Jesus. Commencement Night will be June 28, at 6 p.m.

MOUTAIN HOME

Mountain Home Baptist Church will have its Vacation Bible School from Sunday, June 21, through Friday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m., each night. The kickoff will be Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m., with a cookout, games and fun. The theme is Boomerang Express. Classes will be offered for all ages.

MARIETTA UNITED

The Marietta Street United Methodist Church will host the Polk County note singing on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 1 p.m. Dinner will be served. The public is invited to attend.

FRIENDLY BAPTIST

Friendly Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 18th and 19th, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. The theme will be Son Rock Camp, and classes will be offered from infants until adults. PLEASANT HILL

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 844 Pleasant Hill Road, Rockmart, will have its 2009 Vacation Bible School from June 18-19. The event will be from 7-9 p.m. each evening. Classes will be held for all ages.

YOUNG’S GROVE

Young’s Grove Baptist Church will be having Vacation Bible School, Thursday June 18, and Friday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The First United Methodist Church, located at 201 Wissahickon Ave., will have Vacation Bible School June 21-25, in the Fellowship Hall from 7-8:30 p.m. each night. The theme will be “Holy Land Adventure”. The community is cordially encouraged to attend any and all of these activities.

The youth will be sponsoring a community yard sale in the church parking lot on July 11 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. First Methodist has 51 parking space areas available of approximately 20x10 to rent. The rent will be $20 in cash per parking space.

Anyone who wishes to rent a space will be responsible to bring and set up their own tables or racks to display their items for sale on July 11, between 6-7 a.m.

Everything must be removed from the space after the sale by 6 p.m.

SOUTHSIDE

Southside Baptist invites the public to come ride the Boomerang Express with them during Vacation Bible School, June 22-25. The event will be from 6-9 p.m. each night and a light meal will be provided at 6 p.m. sharp.

SECOND BAPTIST

Second Baptist Church in Cedartown will be having their 2009 Vacation Bible School from June 18-19, Tuesday through Friday. The event will be from 6-8:30 p.m. each night.

CALVARY ASSEMBLY OF GOD

UNITED BELIEVERS

United Believers in Christ, Inc. will hold the 24th Annual “Holy Convocation” at God’s Church of Deliverance, 15 Hutto Road, Cedartown, from June 25-28. Many activities are planned for these four days. Call the church for specific times.

Guests will come from Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. Bishop Robert Hutchinson and Evangelist Brenda Hutchinson invite everyone for three great nights and four days of heaven on earth.

Anna Kresge United Methodist Church, 15 Booger Hollow Road, will have a community dinner on the last Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited and there is no charge.

CEDARTOWN CHURCH OF GOD

The Cedartown Church of God, 448 West Ave., hosts Celebrate Recovery Cedartown every Friday. A donation only dinner is held at 5:30 p.m., and the large group meeting begins at 6:15 p.m.

The Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church of Cedartown is inviting the public to attend their church. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and morning service starts at 11 a.m. Bible classes are held each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
