She was born Sept. 22, 1937 in Cullman, Ala. the daughter of the late Martin Luther Wood and Sarah Dougherty Wood.
Ms. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughters, Paulette Stewart Weaver, Sarah Leigh Camp (Robby) and Wanda Caroline Taff (Hugh B.); five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
Interment was in the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery,Faulkville, Ala.
Pallbearers were Hugh B. Taff Robby Camp, Steve Weaver, Maurice Hullender, Donovan Welchel and Graham Taff. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Buckelew, Johnny Buckelew, Steven Buckelew, Robert Lamar Glover and Mark Hullender.
Flowers are being accepted; however, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 4840 Roswell Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30342.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
