She was born in Rome, on Feb. 6, 1952, the daughter of the late Robert D. Bishop and the late Barbara Johnson Bishop.
Mrs. Bishop was a graduate of Kennesaw State University and University of South Alabama. Karen was a person who loved God, people and animals.
She was a member of Elim Baptist Church of Newnan where she served as church organist.
Ms. Bishop was survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ramee and Michael Guy; sister, Ginger Rayburn of Rockmart; brother, Dan Bishop of Houston, Texas and a grandson.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Bishop was cremated and a private memorial will be held at a later date.

The McKoon Funeral Home of Newnan, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
