Ms. Bishop was born in Rome, GA on Feb. 6, 1952, daughter of the late Robert D. Bishop and the late Barbara Johnson Bishop.
She was a graduate of Kennesaw State University and University of South Alabama.
Ms. Bishop was a member of Elim Baptist Church of Newnan where she served as church organist.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ramee and Michael Guy, and a grandson, all of Senoia; sister, Ginger Rayburn of Rockmart; and a brother, Dan Bishop of Houston, Texas.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Bishop was cremated and a private memorial will be held at a later date.
McKoon Funeral Home of Newnan was in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Karen S. Bishop.
