Mrs. Mary Maudeen “Deen” Travis, 82, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.

She was born on March 21, 1930 in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late William C. Drummond and the late Sally B. Drummond.

Mrs. Travis was a member of the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Buddy” Travis and a number of brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dannie and Debbie Quarles; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Gary Cavitt; sister, Virginia Hardage; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Gunter and Rev. Rebecca Holmes officiating.

Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. The following Gentlemen served as pallbearers: Joseph Griffin, Michael Vice, Gary Cavitt, Dannie Quarles, Alan Hardage and Donnie Hardage. Bryce Quarles and Hayze Griffin served as honorary pallbearers.
