She was born on April 18, 1933 in Marietta, the daughter of the late Lloyd V. Ferrell and the late Mary Estelle Bramlett Ferrell.
Mrs. Borders was a graduate of the Rockmart High School Class of 1953 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Aragon United Methodist Church, Rockmart Ladies Auxillary of the Brown-Wright American Legion Post #12 and Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Eugene Borders on May 13, 2011 and a sister, Margie Bryan.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Renita and Tim White of Cedartown; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Jenny Borders of Dallas, Barry and Janice Borders and Rodney and Anita Borders all of Rockmart; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Bob Stubblefield and Wanda and Herb Lindsey; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Dee Ferrell and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Woodworth and Brother Ray Ferrell officiating.
Interment services followed in the family lot of Rockmart Memorial Gardens.
The following gentlemen were asked to serve as pallbearers: Trent White, David Phillips, Joshua Borders, Matthew Phillips, Logan Sanchez and Jared Sanchez.
The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
