He was born on Feb. 15, 1948 in Aragon, the son of the late Doyce Womack and the late Edna Myrtice Chastain Womack Brewer.
Mr. Womack was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War and retired from Dart Container Corporation of Lithonia, Ga.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Womack; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Erika Womack and Bradley Womack all of Loganville; sisters, Judy and Jerald Carpenter of Loganville, Jackie Jones of Rockmart and Patti and Jimmy Pruitt of Dacula;brother, Danny Womack of Rockmart; former wife, Kathy Hollenbach of Loganville and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Prince and Rev. Brian Womack officiating. Brown-Wright American Legion Post #12 Honor Guard providing military rites.
The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
