Mr. Adam C. Schneider Jr., 81, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.

He was born on Aug. 25, 1931 in Fairfield, Conn. the son of the late Adam C. Schneider Sr., and Claire Nichols Schneider.

Mr. Schneider retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he worked for the City of Cedartown as superintendent of the water department for 15 years.

He served 15 years with the Georgia National Guard retiring as Sgt. First Class. Mr. Schneider was a 50 year member of the Caledonia Lodge

No. 121 F. & A.M., and a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite Yaarab Temple.

He was a member of the Worldview Baptist Church.

Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife, Lois Schneider; daughter and son-in-law, Claire A. Nichols and Danny Nichols; sisters, Gloria Clark and Marilyn Clange both of Easton, Conn., a grandson; two great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Schnieder was cremated.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Connor officiating.
