He was born in Mexico on May 16, 1920, the son of Santiago Reyes and Cecilia Hernandez Vazquez.
Mr. Reyes was retired from the Zartic-Z Bird Corporation. He was a member of Young’s Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Reyes is survived by his wife, Lenora Boatright Reyes; son, Ermilo Shanczes; brother, Santos Hernandez; sister, Madalena Reyes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Diane Boatright; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wyolene and Don Hilliard and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry McCullough officiating.
Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. The following gentlemen were asked to serve as pallbearers: Juan Shanczes, Ines Shanczes, Lotio Shanczes, Cosimiro Shanczes, Irene Shanczes, Ermilo Shanczes and Lonnie Allbritten Jr.
