He was born on Aug. 9, 1950 in Polk County, the son of the late Horace C. Kimball and Peggy Morris Kimball.
Mr. Kimball was the former Sheriff of Haralson County and had also served in state law enforcement. He was a veteran, proudly serving with the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Ray Kimball and a son, Del Tettleton.
He is survived by his wife, Sheree Griffin Kimball of Buchanan; sons, Ronald Tettleton of Arizona and Bob Tettleton of Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Borders of Buchanan; step-daughters, Richelle and Shaun Daugherty of Marietta and Kristen and Jon Robinson of Tallapoosa; brother, Steve and Toni Kimball of Buchanan; 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bremen, with Elder Kim Hardin, Elder Keith Hardin and Elder Steve Kimball officiating.
Interment followed in the Bannon-Perryman Cemetery, Buchanan.
Charles Sanders, Dale Wiggins, Michael Borders, Chad Henderson, Jon Robinson and Shaun Daugherty served as pallbearers.
Members of the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office served as Honorary Pallbearers.
The Hightower Funeral Home of Bremen was in charge of the arrangements.
