She was born on July 13, 1931 in Polk County, the daughter of Chester and Zelma Maddox McKibben.
Mrs. Hooper was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company and was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe McKibben.
She is survived by her husband, Doyce Hooper; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Lisa Hooper; sister, Lanell Alexander; several grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Snapp and the Rev. Anthony Osborn officiating. Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery.
The following served as pallbearers: Michael McGee, Brandy Brady, Jody Guice, Ed Worsham, Greg McElwee, Chris McAdams and Harley McGee.
