He was born on Sept. 22, 1925 in Piedmont, Ala., the son of the late John Jackson Forrester and Sarah Jane Long Forrester.
Mr. Forrester was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the Lockheed Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise Hainds, Myrtile Stone and Ruth Thompson, and brothers, Chester Forrester, John Henry Forrester, Wesley Forrester, Alvin Forrester, Calvin Forrester, Vansant Forrester, and Arnold Forrester.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Marie Stephens Forrester; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charlie Beatenbo; a granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted on Monday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Williams and Rev. Allen Grimes officiating.
Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Brewster Cleveland Post No. 86 Honor Guard.
Michael Brannan, Brent Hooper, Joey Payne, Adam Lester, Derrick Kines, and Dan Alwine served as pallbearers. Curtis Reaid and David Forrister were honorary pallbearers.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
