Update 4:21 p.m.GSP has stated that Hwy. 100 is still closed. Officials do not have a time-frame of when the road will be reopened.
Update 2:30 p.m: The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has confirmed the driver of a River City Propane truck was killed in the crash occurring on Ga. Hwy. 100 this afternoon.
Officers are not releasing the driver's identity until it can be confirmed and the family notified.
A Polk County coroner has been called to the scene.
No other injuries or vehicles were involved, according to the GSP.
GSP officials said the driver was traveling north on Ga. Hwy. 100 when the truck ran off the road and overturned.
The road remains closed with no time frame for officials reopening it, officials said.

The propane truck is overturned in the northbound lane of Ga. Hwy. 100 approximately 300 feet from Ga. Hwy. 27.
The cab of the truck is completely crushed, according to a reporter on the scene.
Officials indicate Ga. Hwy. 100 will remained closed for a lengthy time while crews work the wreck.
The truck belongs to River City Propane out of Piedmont, Ala., and Tallapoosa, Ga.

Emergency crews are working a wreck where a propane truck overturned around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 100 near Highway 27 South about two miles outside of Cedartown.
Initial reports are one person was ejected and the coroner has been called.
Highway 100 has been shut down, officials said.
The crash is being handled by the Georgia State Patrol. Cedartown and Polk County police, Cedartown fire crews, and medical personnel are also assisting at the scene.
