Four people were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a wreck on Ga. 100 near Livingston Road.

According to Trooper Stan Smith of the Georgia State Patrol:

A Ford Mustang, driven by 46-year-old James Eubanks of Cave Spring, was stopped in the roadway on Ga. 100 around 3 p.m., where it was struck from behind by an Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by 48-year-old Beth Harris of Cedartown.

The collision caused the Mustang to catch fire. The road was closed briefly before the vehicles could be removed.

Smith said that four passengers in Harris’ Oldsmobile were taken to Floyd Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.

After investigating, Smith arrested Eubanks on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. He remained in jail Wednesday night on $1,570 bail.

Smith said he will further investigate the incident and there may be more charges filed at a later time.
