1. Coosa Valley Regional Services will hold their monthly board meeting on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at the main office located at 3 Riverside Industrial Prkway, Rome, Ga. The public is invited to attend.
2. The Cedartown library also hosts story time for children every Thursday at 11 a.m.

Heartland Hospice offers “A Time of Healing” a bereavement group that gives participants the opportunity to learn about the natural grieving process, share experiences and learn in a group setting how to manage and cope wit grief. The group meets the third Thursday of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Covenant Cathedral Cedar Lake Christian Center, 1890 Rome Hwy, Cedartown. 4. The Cedartown Parks and Recreation Authority offers line dancing lessions from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday in the Christian Center located at 605 Lanton Drive.
5. The Polk County Fair sponsored by the Cedartown Exchange Club is taking place this week. Tonight is Senior Night. Attendees are invited to bring a church bulletin for a discount. A highlight of events includes a beef cattle show at 6 p.m.
