The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Oct. 12:

1. The Cedartown Wal-Mart will host senior day every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Seniors are invited to enjoy coffee, donuts and muffins as well as five games of bingo with prizes for the winners.

2. First United Methodist Church in Cedartown will sell pumpkins from now until Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1-7 p.m. on Sundays. Pumpkin bread, fall crafts and garden mums will also be for sale.

3. Oak Grove Baptist, Hwy. 27, is presenting a study of the history behind the Old Testament on Wednesday nights for the next several months. Each session beings at 7 p.m. in the church auditorium and is free to the public.

4. Pastors Ruby Griffith and Mark Hanson of New Beginnings Tabernacle, 508 McKibben Rd., would like to invite everyone to Bible study on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. For more information, call 770-646-3782 or 404-859-2096.

5. Truth and Life Ministry is a new church located on McArthur Street led by brother John Vines. Wednesday night services are held at 7:30 p.m.
