The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, March 5:

1. The Rockmart library hosts story time for children every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m..

2. Redmond Regional Medical Center will hold a series of wellness works seminars throughout the year. The seminars are free and led by physicians to teach patients how to enhance their wellbeing. A workship on allergies will be held on March 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Redomond Regional lower level classroom.

3. The Polk School District Board of Education will meet for a community input and work session at 6 p.m. in the central office.

4. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart, holds open studio pottery classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with Instructor Paul Craighead. Classes are $15 per session. For more information call 706-843-5302.
