The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Feb. 23:

1. The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation authority holds the Silver Sneakers fitness class at 9 a.m. at the Charles C. Parker Center for Active Adults, 1325 Kingston Rd., Rome. Classes are open to non-members for $2 a class.

2. The Shorter University Theatere Department will perform "Pride and Prejudice" in the university's Callaway Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

4. Transitions Hospice Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide support and companionship to patients.
