1. The Western Art Invitational is on display at the gallery at the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center, 316 North Piedmont Ave., Building 300. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays

2. Pastor Rub Griffith and brother Mark Hanson invite everyone to fellowship and a hobo dinner on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. at New Beginnings Tabernacle, 508 McKibben Road, Buchanan.

3. New Bethel Baptist Church, 3429 Collard Valley Road, will sponsor a chili cook-off on Saturday, Feb. 18, starting at 4 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a $5 donation and can eat all the chili they want. Drinks are $1 each and desserts are complimentary. All proceeds will go to the New Bethel Baptist Church scholarship fund. Everyone is invited to attend.

4. The American Legion POst 86 in Cedartown will hold a Fish fry starting at 5 p.m. until the food is gone. Plates are $8 each and include whole or filet catfhish with slaw, backed beans hush puppies and fires.

5. Pine Bower Baptist Church's Youth will host its 6th Annual Valentine's Dinner and Show on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. There will be an Italian Meal and, the youth will preform a show featuring your favorite characters from Hee Haw. 2. Pastors Ruby Griffith and Mark Hanson of New Beginnings Tabernacle, 508 McKibben Rd., would like to invite everyone to Sunday school services at 10:30 a.m., worship service at noon

3. Truth and Life Ministry is a new church located on McArthur Street led by brother John Vines. Sunday morning services are held at 11 a.m. each week.

4. The Cedartown First Presbyterian Church will hold Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m.

5. Lake Creek Anointed Ministries will hold its 115th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. The speaker for the event will be Pastor Jay Fredrick and the River of Living Water Family.

Both

1. The Shorter University Theatre Department will perform “Pride and Prejudice” Feb.16-19 and 23-26 in the university’s Callaway Theatre. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of 2 p.m. Sunday matinees.
