Aaron Murray completed 12 of 17 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown in Wednesday’s scrimmage at Sanford Stadium.
Brown caught six passes for 103 yards with the two touchdowns.
“I had a pretty good day today,” said Brown. “I would say overall the offense had a pretty good day. Everybody was flying around making plays; it was good to see. We’re just trying to take it one day at a time to get where we want to be.”
The first-team defense gave up only one first down on its first three drives when playing against the Bulldogs’ second-team offense.
Senior nose tackle John Jenkins says the defense is becoming the unit “everybody knows we can be.”
Coach Mark Richt said Brown’s performance was simply continuance of what he’s been doing.
“Marlon had the most opportunities today, and he took advantage of it,” Richt added. “He’s been hot all camp, and I hope he stays healthy.”
The Bulldogs open the season Sept. 1 when they host Buffalo.
