The Harlem Ambassadors have worked extrensively with nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and they perform more than 200 shows a year.
Offering a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines, the Ambassadors are a team of talented male and female basketball players that are drug-free, college-educated and committed to giving their audience quality family entertainment and serving as positive role models for young people.
The Ambassadors set themselves apart from other “Harlem” teams by working with local not-for-profit and service organizations and holding Harlem Ambassadors shows as community fundraising events.
For this event, the Ambassadors will play against the Boys & Girls Club “All-Stars”, a team comprised of Cedartown community and business leaders. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support the Cedartown Boys & Girls Club.
The Ambassadors will also give a “stay in school, stay off drugs” presentation earlier in the day at the Cedartown Middle School and encourage students to get involved with the Boys & Girls Club. The Ambassadors have worked with many Boys & Girls Clubs and understand the increased academic achievement, character development, and other positive outcomes gained from attending.
“We are excited to provide quality, family entertainment for the Cedartown community and create memories that the fans will take with them,” said J.R. Davis, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia.
“Hopefully, this event will also raise awareness of the great services we have to offer at the Cedartown Boys & Girls Club and encourage more kids to participate.”
The Cedartown club is open every day after school until 7 p.m. and offers multiple development programs to help kids reach their full potential.
Tickets are available for purchase at Croker’s Hardware, the Cedartown Welcome Center, Rudy Wood’s Appliance & Home Furnishings, and First National Bank of Polk County.
