Three people were arrested Saturday after a tip led a Cedartown police officer to investigate purchases made at local stores.

According to the Polk County Jail docket book, the three arrested were Joshua Augustus Heinrich, 22, of 774 Culplake Road, Cedartown; Sundai Michele Woodard, 38, of 310 Cobb St., Cedartown; and Kitty Darlene Radford, 40, of 9170 Lee Road, Opelika, Ala.

All are charged with attempt and conspiracy to manufacture drugs, unlawful possession of pseudophedrine, and methamphetamine possession.

Heinrich is also charged with illegal window tint.

According to Cedartown Assistant Police Chief Jamie Newsome, Sgt. John Zucker was on routine patrol when he got a tip indicating a woman had bought some suspicious items in a store.

He picked up on the car’s description and followed it to another store where she bought more of the same type of items, Newsome said.

“The only items purchased were items consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine,” Newsome said. “The only common denominator with the items purchased is that they would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.”

Newsome said Zucker stopped the car and interviewed the three in the car, which led to their arrests.
