Rockmart High School lost its appeal to the GHSA against a move placing it in the new Region 4-AAA along with schools in Atlanta, Troupe County and Douglasville.

Rockmart will have to play each of the schools in varsity sports if the school competes in that sport at the varsity level, meaning some long road trips could be in store for Rockmart.

Losing the appeal means that Rockmart will have to remain in the region for at least two years.

To the poster that played Football in Tennesse under Duff. Duff is a good man, just lost his Coaching skills since then I guess? Sure hasn't showed it in Rockmart other than to get to the 1st round and lose cause he only has about 2 or 3 plays he runs on Offense. It's a shame cause he has terrific talent every year!!
