In keeping with a 19-year-old tradition, Olin Gammage, Owner of Gammage Funeral Home, was the first to register for the Doc Ayers/Ray Beck Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday morning at the Gammage Firm on Main Street.

Doc Ayers was on hand for the ceremonial sign-up, as well as Attorney Miles Gammage and Legal Assistant Tara Frasier, who will be organizing a team for the upcoming tournament.

This year’s event will be Friday, May 7 at Cherokee Country Club, with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Golfers are encouraged to sign up before the April 30 deadline.

Teams will be made up of six players, but individuals may sign up and they will be assigned a team before the tournament.

The cost will be $125 per player and $750 per team. Lunch is provided for golfers.

For more information or to register, contact Debra Sims at 770-748-3870, or stop by and see her at the Gammage Law Firm, 216 Main St., Cedartown.
