Head coach Archie Scott and his Rockmart Middle School baseball team has swung the season into action.

According to Scott, Rockmart has varsity and junior varsity middle school baseball teams this year.

Members of the middle school varsity roster are Austin Cowan, Tristan Wright, Chris Short, Chet Miller, Dawson Sanders, Griffin Earwood, Logan Warren, Dalton Brown, Jake Brown, Will Deems, Cam Jones, and Morgan Sims.

Members of the junior varsity squad are Truett Bowman, Kolby Quick, Tyler Hembree, Chaz Leathers, Michael Gay, Will Sanders, Luc Culver, Jac Culver, Carson Brown, Avery Allen, Kole Holder, Avery Wilkes, River Prater, and Bailey Reed.

The, the Rockmart varsity middle school team were scheduled to play Armuchee at 5 p.m. Friday at the Riverview Baseball Complex in Rome.

On Tuesday, Rockmart will tangle with Rome at 5 p.m. at the Etowah Field No. 1 in Rome.

Next Thursday, Rockmart will travel to Woodland Middle School to play Woodland at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Rockmart will play at the North Floyd Field No. 3 against Model at 3 p.m.

Rockmart will play Cartersville on March 13 in Rome before playing Pepperell at Etowah Field in Rome at March 16.

On March 19, Rockmart will play Chattooga in Rome at 5 p.m. before playing at Haralson County on March 21 at 4:30 p.m. and then they’ll square off with Cartersville in Rome at 5 p.m. on March 22.

The Rockmart Middle School junior varsity squad will play the Armuchee Blue team tonight at 5 p.m. in Rome. On Tuesday, they will square off with Rome at Etowah Field No. 3 at 5 p.m.

The junior varsity middle school team will meet up with the Model White team on March 9, the Model Blue team on March 13, Pepperell on March 16, St. Mary’s on March 19, and Rome on March 22. All the games will be played in Rome.
