I don't want to see all jail dockets: editors know which arrests are vital for the general population to know. Robbery, assault, car theft, embezzelment, rape, child molestation, and other crimes that can impact humanity are important and newsworthy.

Some arrests, on the other hand, are of no real interest to the general population. These arrests can serve to provide gossip to those who wish to participate. But for many of us, and I would hope most of us, reading about the private heartaches is of no interest. Let's keep private heartaches private.....and not feed the beast of gossip.

Releasing the entire jail docket is not important, even it increases circulation.
