Polk 4-H teams compete in poultry judging contest

The Polk County 4-H Poultry Juding teams traveled to Dalton to compete at the 2010 Area 4-H Poultry Judging Contest.

4-H’ers who competed on the Polk County Junior Team were Jacob Huitt, Shannon A. Williams, Faith Cheeks, Hope Croker, Alexa Parsley, Raven Wilkerson, Bailey Bell, Cheyanne Davenport, and Brandon Morris.

The Junior team placed eleventh in the contest with Jacob Huitt, Shannon A. Williams, and Faith Cheeks being the top scorers for the Junior Team.

The Senior 4-H team members were Chris Galloway, Velora Kitchens, and Amanda Weeks.

The Senior Team placed eighth at the contest The Poultry Judging Contest was held at the North Georgia Ag Fairgrounds in Dalton.
