Police seek suspect in series of Aragon burglaries

Aragon police are trying to figure out who is behind a rash of burglaries affecting the small town recently.

According to Aragon Police Department reports, three burglaries of out buildings occurred within a 10-day period in October. Residents report yard equipment stolen in all three incidents, reports said.

The first burglary was reported Oct. 14 at 2322 Frettiesburg Drive. The resident said almost $800 in equipment was stolen from an unlocked out building.

Items reported stolen included a Poulan chainsaw, a gas powered string trimmer, a Homelite hedge trimmer, two five-gallon gas cans full of gas, and a 10-gallon gas can full of gas.

The second burglary call came Oct. 22 at 235 Waters St. The resident said almost $1,000 in items was taken from his out building.

Items included an orange Husquarna chainsaw and a chop miter saw.

A resident at 2318 Frettiesburg Drive reported a similar burglary Oct. 24. Reports state that around $300 in tools were taken from an unlocked out building and included a Toro String trimmer and a Ryobi edger.
