Organizers met at Pink Sugar on Main Street in Cedartown to launch the second year of the regional talent competition.
Dates for the event have been set for March 12-16. The show is open to all persons ages 12 and up, and organizers are making a push this year to attract more people from outside Polk County.
Donnie McKibben, one of the organizers, said last year's competition drew contestants from across the age spectrum.
"Two or three were in their 70s," McKibben said.
The two local McDonald's restaurants are again sponsors. The Throttle Jockeys car club is also a sponsor.
Also at Thurday's planning session, organizers reviewed and finalized promotional materials, which should become visible around the area soon.
Registration forms are being printed and will be available at The Cedartown Welcome Center (609 S. Main St.), Pink Sugar (320 Main St.), at both McDonald's restaurants and other businesses. They also are available online at: www.downtowncedartown.com.
The next planning session for the event will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the new McDonald's on the bypass.
