A man died Wednesday morning after suffering injuries when his vehicle collided with a train at the Sewell Road railroad crossing in downtown Bremen.

Bremen Police Lt. Blane Cochran says the victim, who’s identity has not yet been disclosed, was driving northbound over the railroad crossing on Sewell Road when the driver’s side of his 1997 Ford Explorer was hit by a Union Pacific train traveling eastbound on the tracks just before 9 a.m.

Hey Dog at least mine ARE mostly typos. And yes I have plenty of them, maybe more than a fair share but then who's counting? Oh you?

Hey Mipoco, for a guy who is so critical of other folk's typing skills, etc., you sure do have a lot of "typos(?)" - "and then give the drive(?) behind".

How about instead of judging what this driver did wrong -- pray for his children that are now left with no family

Stop, look and listen.

Is it obsolete?

Not here. I look left, right, left, right again and then give the drive behind me the Polk County salute for being impatient.

Knock on wood.

What ever happened to looking both ways? and paying attention to the crossing signals, guess trying to save that few extra seconds wasn't worth it.
