No citations will be issued against the driver striking a Polk County school bus head on Nov. 5, according to Georgia State Patrol (GSP) reports.

According to reports, Hunter Calin Forsyth, 17, struck the empty bus on Cashtown Road around 7:37 a.m. School officials said the bus driver had already dropped students off at school and was taking the bus home.

The driver the Mazda pickup striking the bus is identified in reports as Hunter Calin Forsyth, 17, of Aragon. Reports indicate he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the centerline because there was glare in his eyes.

Forsyth was taken by ambulance to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Bus diver Bonnie J. Lentz, also of Aragon, had a possible injury but provided for her own transportation to a medical center.

Both vehicles were towed.
