A crowd of about 50 supporters braved the midday sun in Rome Friday to cheer Republican governor candidate Karen Handel on her final tour of the state before Tuesday’s primary runoff.

Handel and Nathan Deal are in a runoff for their party’s nomination. The winner will go up against Democrat Barnes in the Nov. 2 general election.
