A free Easter egg hunt was hosted by the Cedartown Junior Service League civic club Sunday afternoon at Peek Park.

The event began at 2 p.m., with separate egg hunts divided by age categories: 1-4, 5-8 and 9-11.

Hollow plastic eggs were scattered in a small area of the park. Some of the plastic shells contained candy, while others were prize eggs that allowed winners to claim a filled easter basket with more candy, toys and other treats.
