Pennsylvania: Up 1,639, due to layoffs in the manufacturing, food and beverage, and educational service industries
Nevada: Up 1,351, due to seasonal layoffs from summer jobs
States with the biggest decreases:
Florida: Down 1,923, due to fewer layoffs in agriculture, construction and retail
North Carolina: Down 1,566, due to fewer layoffs in manufacturing, computer equipment and social services
Georgia: Down 1,199, due to fewer layoffs in manufacturing and administrative support.
