The Rockmart Lady Jackets played Class AAAA East Paulding even during the middle two quarters of their non-region game on Saturday afternoon.

However, it was the first and fourth quarters that ultimately proved to be the difference. And because of that, Rockmart fell to the Lady Raiders 60-33 at home.

East Paulding started the game on a 14-5 run and led 17-7 after one quarter of play.

Rockmart then played East Paulding even over the next two quarters, using big third quarter performances from Brionna Henderson and Alana Jones to try and stay within striking distance of East Paulding.

But the Lady Raiders would outscore Rockmart 16-4 in the fourth quarter to put out any hopes of a comeback.

Jones scored 14 points for Rockmart while Henderson added seven.

Rockmart (4-10) plays again Tuesday at home against Model at 6 p.m.
