The Atlanta university announced that it will hold two commencement ceremonies each year - one in the fall and another in the spring - instead of three.
Georgia Tech spokesman Matt Nagel tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the change is being made to be fiscally responsible. He said the move will save from $35,000 to $70,000.
Nagel said about 450 students participate in summer commencement. That compares to about 1,500 for fall and 2,300 for spring.
