Court week will begin in Polk County on Monday, with civil cases being the first to go before judges and juries.
Court officials said it is hard to determine which cases will actually make it to court because many civil cases could be settled and criminal cases could be pleaded.
One case expected to be on the court calendar is the criminal case of Keith Boyd McGee, 48, of Felton, accused of child molestation.
McGee was scheduled to go before Judge Michael Murphy on the November trial calendar, but a status on the case was not available today, according to officials in the Polk County District Attorney’s office.
McGee was arrested March 4 after Det. Joe Weldon of the Polk County Police Department re-opened the 2004 case.
McGee is charged with child molestation, cruelty to children and aggravated sodomy relating to an alleged molestation occurring in a Cedartown home May 14, 2004, according to police reports. The report also states the victim knew the molester.
