FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE – The Cedartown Recreation Department is offering a unique late summer/fall softball season. According to recreation director Scott Colbert, it is going to be an “old school” softball season, in which teams are allowed to hit as many homeruns as they care to hit. The league will be limited to the first six teams to sign up and played only on the south field. The first organizational meeting will be on Tuesday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the gym at Northwest Park.

CEDARTOWN RECREATION ACTIVITIES – The Cedartown Recreation Department will have a coaches meeting on Tuesday, August 5 at 5:30 p.m. Anyone interested in coaching youth football is invited to attend. For more information please call 770-748-7763 and leave a message. Also, a cheerleading coach meeting will be held Tuesday, August 5 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in coaching youth cheerleaders are invited to attend. Registration for youth football and cheerleading will be Monday, August 4 through Thursday, August 7 from 4:30 until 7:30 at the Nathan Dean Center Gym at Northwest Park. All players must pre-register at the Nathan Dean Center Gym.
