Cedartown public works employees and firefighters began putting up Christmas decorations Tuesday in the downtown area. Christmas lights and more decorations will be added over the next couple of weeks. The city plans a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the downtown area on Nov. 29. The Cedartown High School band will perform Christmas songs beginning around 6 p.m. as a choir sings. The tree will be lit around 7 p.m.
