Playing at Terrell Mill Park in Marietta, the Cedartown All-Stars played against other All-Star squads from the Atlanta area. The Cedartown team went 5-0, knocking off some very talented teams according to coach Michael McGee. McGee also noted that the Cedartown squad made several great plays in the tournament.
The local All-Star squad have now qualified to participate in the USSSA World Series in Gulf Shores, Ala.
"The hard work from all season long has really paid off," McGee noted. "On behalf of the coaches and players, we would like to thank the parents and fans for their support, donations, and dedication to this team. Without them, we would not be where we are today."
