Last Saturday, the Bulldogs nine and 10-year-old team and the Bulldogs 11-and-12-year-old club won the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority football championships.
The nine and 10-year-old Bulldogs, playing in the Pee Wee Division I bracket, received a first round bye. In round two, they knocked off the Apaches on Thursday, Nov. 15 and then took down the Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Heritage Bowl to win the league championship.
The 11-and-12-year-old Bulldogs from Cedartown won the Mite Division title.
The Cedartown squad opened the playoffs by beating the Indians Blue on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and then they defeated the Eagles 28-0 on Saturday, Nov. 17 to win the Heritage Bowl and the league championship.
In the seven-and-eight-year-old league, known as the Junior Pee Wee Division, Cedartown had two teams participate in the Division I playoffs.
The Cedartown Bulldogs White team opened the postseason on Tuesday, Nov. 13 and suffered a defeat to the Dragons Gold.
The Cedartown Bulldogs Red squad defeated the Wolfpack on Tuesday, Nov. 13 but fell to the Bears in round two on Thursday, Nov. 15.
The Bears went on to win the Junior Pee Wee Division I championship.
