The “Make Waves at your Library” teen reading program at the Cedartown Library is in full swing.

Throughout the summer, many events are planned for local teens.

Sign-ups for the reading program began on June 7 and will continue through July 24.

Through the summer reading program, teens can earn all sorts of prizes, including food coupons and skating passes. Teens that reach the 30 hour level and complete one book review form will be eligible to win a Netbook computer.

The library also has several contests going on this summer. A book review contest sponsored by McDonald’s, a surfboard design contest, and a message in a bottle scavenger hunt are just some of the contests offered through the library.

Every Tuesday will be Teen Tuesday at the library from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Teens can enjoy movies, Wii games, board games, and art among other activities.
