Detachment 1 of the 1177th Transportation Unit likely will serve at Georgia's various Air Force installations as part of Operaton Noble Eagle, said Roy Henry, a Guard spokesman in Atlanta.
The unit handles heavy machinery and trucks, Henry said. He didn't not know how many guards members belong to the Cedartown detachment.
