On one of the few days that it didn’t rain last week, the Cedartown Middle School tennis teams held a practice match against Rome last Tuesday.

The young Bulldogs won all three of their singles matches. Tanner Mehrkens won 8-1, D.J. Conner 8-3 and Shane Smith 8-6.

Other members of the CMS boy’s team are Jeremiah Jones, Mikey Collins, Juan Rangel, Tim Wyatt and Juan Sibrian.

The youthful Lady Bulldogs won at No. 1 doubles when Kasey Gibson and Brooke Flowers recorded an 8-5 win.

Abigail Kiser took a disappointing loss at No. 1 singles in a tiebreaker. Savannah Couey played a close match at No. 2 singles, but lost also.

Other members for the Cedartown Middle School Lady Bulldogs team are Payton Cox, Breanna Jones, Callie McDonald, Baylee Prince, Holly Robinson, Elizabeth Arencibia, Lizbeth Rangel, Megan Gravett, Sarah Williams, Areli Cervantes and Morgan Dayton.
