The girls took first, second and third place in the long jump and 200 meter dash, Lady Bulldogs Head Coach Martina Couey said. They did a great job.
Maria Addison took first place in the long jump, triple jump and 200 meter dash for the Lady Bulldogs. Laconia Davis took first in the 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles.
Lydia Elkins finished in second place for the Lady Bulldogs in the high jump event. Kirstin Prescott took second in the long jump and 100 meter dash. Kristen Little finished second in the triple jump event.
Katie Hughes took second in the two-mile run and Tashia White was next to first in the 400 meter dash. Niece McIntosh took second in the 200 meter dash.
Prescott finished third in the high jump and Little took third in the long jump and 100 meter dash. Brianna Gibbs finished third in the 200 meter dash and Whitney Darby was a third place finisher in the one-mile run.
Raven Dave rounded out the third place finishers for the Lady Bulldogs by taking third in the 300 meter hurdles.
Whitney Lane claimed a fourth place finish in the 400 meter dash.
The Lady Bulldogs 4x100 meter realy teams placed first and fourth at the event. The Cedartown girls also claimed first and third place in the 4x400 relay race.
I think we have a couple of girls that have a shot at placing at region and possibly doing well at state, Bulldogs Head Coach Nick Bridges said.
For the boys, Tyler Smith won first place in the 300 meter hurdles. Tony Ball took second in the triple jump event.
Tyren Weaver claimed third place in the long jump and 400 meter dash. John Popham took third in the one-mile run and the pole vault event. Demonte Boone was third in the 100 meter hurdles.
Jeremiah Graves finished third in the discus event and Eric Roggow finished third in the two-mile run.
Brandon Green was fourth in the 200 meter dash and Jamund Sims took fourth in the 300 meter hurdles.
The Bulldogs 4x100 relay teams took third and fourth place and the boys 4x400 relay team finished fourth.
Cedartown will host a huge event on Tuesday. Competing at Cedartown Memorial Stadium along with the Bulldogs will be Model, Hiram, Coosa and Chapel Hill.
All the teams coming are really good, Bridges said. It should be a really good meet.
The event is scheduled to get under way at 4:30 p.m.
After that meet, Cedartown will be back in action Thursday, visiting Rockmart at 4:30 p.m.
